I attempt to take birth announcement photos

I spent weeks trying to get the perfect birth announcement photo, but Carter's head would not stay facing the camera, or he would wiggle too much. I tried every sunny day. His clothes were huge on him at this point.

I can smile now!

Carter learned how to smile this month. He was around 6 weeks old. Here he is smiling with daddy.

The first few weeks

Carter was happy in his new home. He enjoyed being swaddled, the rocking chair and the zebra toy the most at first.

Carter's first Easter

Daddy bathed him for the first time and dressed him in the outfit he bought. I was recovering from a stomach bug. We went to Jenka's house and Aunt Diana and Cousin Mary held him while he slept the entire time in their arms.

Willie loses his place as the king of he house

Carter met Willie for the first time. Willie was cool with Carter. He was, however, scared of Carter's stuffed tiger and ran out of the room when Damian lunged it at him.

Homeward bound

It was a beautiful, cool, sunny day, and we were thrilled, but Carter didn't care. He still cried when he got stuffed into the carseat. Even though he was a big baby, his head was still to small for the seat and slumped to the side becuase I forgot the extra headreast. But he surprised us and fell asleep as soon as the car started moving.
