Carter discovered that food is not so bad after all this week. He likes pears and bananas the most, but has eaten everything else we have given him including:
applesauce
barley cereal
peaches
peas
butternut squash
sippy cup with water in it
He is taking about 7 oz per day of solids. He already does not like to drink milk anymore. He wants to give up after four ounces. I am trying to get at least 24 oz in him each day becuase the books say that I shouldn't cut back on the milk since it has the most nutrients. However, the books also say that he should be eating 8 -14 oz./day of solid foods, which he is not doing yet either. With time though, I'm sure his stomach will expand.

Way to go little Carter! Watch out Mom, he's gonna eat you out of house and home!
Yay! SO glad he is eating! I am glad you didn't give up. Before you know it, he will want a burger and fries!
Oh, I meant to tell you...Casey is like half of Carter's size and she takes a 7 ounce bottle. None of this in your books, but just me talking to a lot of moms - I give Casey a bottle and then wait about an hour until I give her food. They do this at the day care, also. This way, she gets a lot of milk, but also takes in a lot of food.
I am SOOO glad he is eating!!!
Sorry to post 3 times, but who the heck wants milk when you can have applesauce...why do babies LOVE peas? I think the Gerber peas stink! Casey thinks Peas and Sweet Potatoes (not together) are like eating Candy!
I can see sweet potatoes, but ooing and ahhing over peas and green beans...YUCK!
He already wants the burger and fries!!! I can't keep his eyes off my food! Yeah, I actually don't give the milk and solids together either. I try to space them an hour apart, but he STILL acts like he has ADD after drinking four oz.
